You will find the most wonderful and loving people here.  This is a great place to call home.  This church will nurture your faith by helping the Bible come alive and give direction to today’s challenges.  You will experience love and community as we do life together through the many ups and downs that life brings.  You can use and develop the abilities, gifts, and talents you have to serve others with children, youth, adults, drama, music, and missions.

Ebenezer was established in 1890 and has been the cornerstone of the West Knoxville community for many years.  The history of our church is one of response to God’s work in this community and beyond.  We are writing new chapters in God’s rich history of love and grace.  We invite you to be part of this story.  Welcome home!  May our church home become your church home too!

Sunday Morning Services

9:00am

The Celebration Worship Service is a gathering for contemporary praise and worship.  The Celebration Service is a lively, upbeat service, featuring your favorite Christian music in a casual atmosphere.  Come celebrate with us in the Sanctuary!

10:00am

Sunday School is to provide a small group opportunity to develop Christian friendships and explore practical application of biblical truth in our daily lives.

11:00am

Heritage Worship Service provides an opportunity to connect with God through hymns and liturgy in our Sanctuary. This service features the Apostles’ Creed. The Heritage Service is based on the United Methodist traditions of worship with music by the Heritage Choir.

What should I wear?

You are welcome to wear what feels comfortable for you.  Jeans, shorts, or any casual wear is fine.  If you feel more comfortable in a dress and heels or suit and tie, that is fine too!  Come as you are and you will fit right in.

Our Sunday School meets during the 10:00 am hour in classrooms throughout the church.  We have something for everyone in the family:  children, youth, and adults.  Each class offers an opportunity to strengthen your faith through fellowship and dialogue with other Christians.

Yes!  Nursery care for infants and toddlers up to three years old is offered during Sunday School and all worship services.  For children in preschool, we have Sunday School and Bible class throughout the morning.  Children in Kindgergarten through 5th grade enjoy Sunday School at 10:00 am and Kids Own Worship at 9:00 am and 11:00 am.  Of course, your children are always welcome to join you for worship in the sanctuary if you like.

Coffee and tea are available before and after the 9:00 am worship service and before the 11:00 am worship service in the lobby as you enter the church.
